Black to the Lab is a STEM educational learning toy designed to expose young girls to science, technology, engineering, and math and STEM’s unique impact on the cosmetic industry. Black to the Lab features an activity kit of hands-on learning experiences that use cosmetic chemistry concepts allowing youth the ability to create some of their favorite cosmetic items such as lip gloss, body scrubs, lotion, and more.

MEET YOUR PROFESSOR

Kristen Wells-Lewis is a Beaumont, Texas native and the 2015 PVAMU Student
Humanitarian Award recipient. The award is one of the highest honors PVAMU bestows upon students and community members who display a passion for serving their communities and helping others. Wells-Lewis received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry with a Biomedical concentration from Prairie View A&M University in August 2015 and her Masters in Community Development from Prairie View A&M University in December 2018.
